The first few weeks of the semester is one of the busiest times of the year, especially for new students.  You will be getting lots of homework, meeting new friends, and exploring Chicago.  Galvin Library has services that can help students work more efficiently, and there are great spaces for groups and quiet study.  We are giving tours and teaching the basics of using the library, so come by and learn about the library and the services offered.  The Cherry Conference Room is located on Galvin Library’s lower level.  Tours will be offered during the following times:

Library Fundamentals for New Students:

  • Wednesday, January 11: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Location: Cherry Conference Room
  • Friday, January 13: 1:00 p.m. – 2:oo p.m. Location: Cherry Conference Room

Library Fundamentals for New International Students (this tour session is spoken in Chinese):

  • Friday, January 13: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Location: Cherry Conference Room

These classes are popular and packed with information. Show up on time (or earlier) so you don’t miss anything! Questions?  Email us here.
