Inspec and Biological Abstracts have moved from the Ebsco platform to the Thomson/ISI platform. This move will streamline science, technology, and engineering research because Web Of Science also uses Thomson/ISI. The consolidation of these three widely used databases onto the same platform allows you to…

Search Inspec, Web of Science, and Biological Abstracts simultaneously. Click on the All Databases tab to do so:

Or, select the database you wish to use from the Select a Database Tab:

Create search alerts and citation alerts that search all three databases. Alerts simplify research by emailing you or updating your RSS feed any time a new article falls into your search parameters:

Save and manage citations with EndNote Web, which is integrated into the Thomson/ISI platform:

These are just a few of the useful features that increase the quality and efficiency of your searching. To learn more about using Inspec, Biological Abstracts, or any library resource you can email us, or go to the Ask a Librarian page to instant message us. You can also call or stop by the Reference Desk on the upper level of Galvin Library for assistance.
