Using the Library During Winter Break

November 22, 2010 at 9:18 pm | Posted in circulation services, hours | Comments Off on Using the Library During Winter Break

The two most commonly asked questions about winter break are:

1. “Can I still check out books and use the databases?”

If you have already registered for Spring semester classes then you will have full access to the library during winter break. You do not need to do anything to continue enjoying the library.

If you have not registered for Spring semester classes then you must complete the Intersession Privileges form if you want to use library resources during winter break. By completing the form you will be able to check out books from IIT and I-Share libraries, request articles and books via MyILL, read e-books, and use library databases. Privileges granted through this form last until January 09, 2011.

If you are unsure if you need to complete the form, contact the Circulation department to find out your status.

2. “When is the library open?”

The library will observe the following hours from Sunday, December 11th to Sunday, January 9th:

Monday – Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: closed
There will be no Owl Lab during winter break.

The library will be closed from Friday, December 24th to Sunday January 2nd. We will re-open Monday, January 3rd.
