The ISI Web of Knowledge database platform recently updated their interface, search functionality and URL. These changes affect Web of Science, Inspec and Biological Abstracts. If you have bookmarks or alerts for any of these databases they should automatically redirect but you may need to update them. Web of Knowledge currently has a maintenance alert on the main search page:

Summer Intersession Hours

Galvin Library has shorter hours during the time between summer and fall semesters. From Sunday, July 31 to Sunday, August 21 the library will have the following hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 8:30am-5pm
  • Closed Sundays

Summer Library Privileges Form

The Summer Privileges Form is for students who are registered for classes in the Summer or Fall 2011 semesters and want to have access to library resources during the Summer – including borrowing IIT materials, on-site borrowing at I-Share libraries, document delivery and interlibrary loan. Privileges granted through this form last from May 8 – August 21, 2011.

Ebsco Databases Not Working in Chrome

EBSCOhost databases are not operating correctly in Chrome. Some of the major issues include our Get Article system not appearing and searches not running. EBSCO is aware of the problem. EBSCO databases will work in other browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Contact the library if you are having troubles.
