New Students and Library Access

August 1, 2011 at 9:05 pm | Posted in services | Comments Off on New Students and Library Access

Are you a new student at IIT? If so, welcome! We are excited to meet you and work with you. A few things to know about using the library:

  • You must register for classes before you can borrow books, read e-books, or use databases. It takes a few days for the library to receive current registration information, so please be patient while we load thousands of students into our system.
  • While you wait for your library access to be finalized, you can read books inside the library and use databases from anywhere on campus.
  • We have shorter hours when classes are not in session. Once the fall semester begins we are open later.
  • Once the semester starts use our New Student Library Checklist to stay on track!

We will be speaking at the August new student orientation and we are a part of the Welcome Week activities. You will learn all about the library at these events, so be sure to attend.
