Copy Card Balance Transfer Program

Dear Students:

Earlier this year, we removed our copy machine from the lobby of Galvin Library.  We understand that some of you may still have money on your copy cards.  Since it is University policy that we no longer handle cash, we have set up a process with the Office of Technology Services to transfer any remaining balance into your campus print account.

If you have a balance, or would like to check your balance, you need to come to the Administrative Suite at Galvin Library (upper level, southeast side).  We will check to see how much is left on your card and instruct you how to transfer that amount to print credit.  This system will be in place until September 30.  If you have any questions, please contact Jenny Worrell at jworrell@iit.edu.

Thank  you!

Summer Reading Options

It’s been a long couple of semesters, but now it’s summer and you have time to relax and read what you want to, not what you have to. Whether you’re looking for books to read at the beach, on a plane, on just laying in the grass watching the clouds go by, Galvin Library can help you connect with what you want to read. Here are a few options:

  • Check out our anime and graphic novel collections
  • Use our random book generator to find books in our Leisure Reading collection
  • Use your I-Share  account to order books from more than 85 academic libraries
  • Use WorldCat to get what I-Share doesn’t have available
  • E-Books are an option even when we’re closed!

Unsure how to use these options? Just ask us!

Galvin Library would like to wish the Best of Luck and a sincere Congratulations to our student employees who are graduating this week. Some of them have worked with us for a few months, others for a few years, but we have enjoyed spending time with them and are sorry to see them go. Galvin Library could not do what we do without our student employees. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and good humor. All our best to you and Good Luck!
