iew_2015_all_logos_0Join Galvin Library as we celebrate International Education Week (IEW), November 16 – 20. Register for any of the activities.

Japanese Anime Movie Time
Friday, November 13:  2 – 4 pm, Library Cherry Conference Room
Because we know 11/20 is IPRO Day, we’re starting IEW a few days early by watching a Japanese Anime movie, and enjoying a display of films and manga selected from the Japanese Film and Anime Society collection. Join us for popcorn and movies!

Drinking and Dining around the World
How do you ask for an aperitivo in Italian, fromage in French, and Pecking duck in Chinese? Learn how to order food and drink in a language other than your own. Librarians will show you how to use Mango, and how to download the app to use on the go! You’ll be travel or restaurant ready. Sessions will be offered at the Library Learning Center (LLC) during the following times:

  • Tuesday, November 17:  11- 11: 30 am
  • Thursday, November 19:  4- 4: 30 pm

Researching International Companies Pop-up Session
Wednesday, November 18:  11- 11: 40 am, Library Learning Center (LLC)
Learn how to use online subscriptions from the library to search for company information. Prepare for interviews or complete class assignments. There are only 18 seats, so register early!

Book Display (all week)
Find your favorite fictions written by foreign authors or stories about other countries in our display.
Pick up Read Around the World brochure in the library.
